LOVE YOUR LENTILS CONTEST GUIDELINE

Canadian Lentils & Chef Michael Smith are excited to present the Lentil Hunter contest as part of Love Your Lentils Month this May! Chef Michael Smith has searched the globe and found some of the worlds best lentil recipes, and we want to invite you along for the journey by watching our brand new websiodes at lentilhunter.ca.

While you are watching each episode be sure to be on the lookout for our Mini-Chef who travelled the globe by Michael’s side.  

Once you have watched all five webisodes head over to our contest page and tell us where Mini-Chef made his guest-star appearance in each webisode for a chance to win a trip to PEI, Canada from July 4th to 7th, 2014 where you will get to spend time with Chef Michael Smith and take in the Islands Annual Village Feast event!

A grand prize winner will be chosen following the close of the contest (which ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on May 31, 2020) but there will be prizes awarded along the way including exclusive Lentil Hunter luggage so be sure to enter the contest early and often.

LOVE YOUR LENTILS CONTEST RULES 

ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to all residents of Canada except directors, officers, and employees of Saskatchewan Pulse Growers, Pulse Canada, Alberta Pulse Growers, Manitoba Pulse Growers, Ontario Bean Growers, Cellar Door Productions, and Culinart. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Any and all disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws and in the courts of the Province of Saskatchewan. Should there be a conflict between the Saskatchewan laws and any other laws, the conflict shall be resolved in favour of the Saskatchewan laws. No purchase is necessary.

ENTRIES

The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received by the contest deadline. One entry may be submitted per IP address per day. Non-compliance with any entry procedure may result in disqualification.

TIMELINES

May 1, 2020 - 00:01 (Eastern Time) contest opens

May 31, 2020 - 23:59 (Eastern Time) deadline for contest entries

June 1-9, 2014 – Random Winner Selected

June 11, 2020 – Contest winners will be notified

July 4-7, 2014 – Contest Winner Prize Package in PEI

PRIZES 

Grand Prize

There is one (1) grand prize available:

On Saturday, July 5, 2014, the grand prize recipient will join Chef Michael Smith as he hosts an exclusive celebration for volunteers of the annual Village Feast Event. On Sunday, July 6, 2014, the grand prize recipient will attend the Annual Village Feast Event with Chef Michael Smith. 

What’s Included: 

• Flight/transportation for two (2) to Charlottetown from anywhere in Canada for July 4-7, 2014
• 3 nights accommodation (July 4/5/6) at the luxurious Great George Hotel in Charlottetown
• Car rental with GPS for July 4-7, 2014
• $500 spending money for the trip

Other Prizes

There will be weekly drawings from May 1-31, 2014 where items such as luggage and cookbooks will be awarded to entrants through random draw. 

Winners will be notified via email. 

All prizes will be awarded by June 13, 2014. Prizes must be claimed by June 17, 2020 - no extensions will be permitted. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged, transferred or converted. Prize does not include any fees, charges, taxes, gratuities, insurances, or personal expenses other than those costs/value or benefits described above. Canadian Lentils assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injury that may result from the acceptance or use of prize.

PUBLICATION

By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use, without payment or compensation, of their names for publicity purposes in all media carried out by Canadian Lentils.

DEADLINE

All entries/votes must be received no later than 23:59 PM (Eastern Time) on May 31, 2014. Winner(s) will be notified by email or phone on or before June 11, 2014.

GENERAL

Canadian Lentils cannot be held responsible for entries that are lost or delayed during submission. Canadian Lentils is not responsible for any failure of the website during this contest. Nor are they responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software or any e-mail, online or internet entry lost due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.

Canadian Lentils reserve the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Decisions of Canadian Lentils will be final on all aspects of the contest, including matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment. This contest shall be subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.

By entering this contest, each entrant consents to Canadian Lentils storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his or her entry only for the purposes of administering the contest and in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. F-15.01. Canadian Lentils will not otherwise sell or disclose any entrant's personal information. Canadian Lentils, have permission to use the information provided for the purpose of marketing.
